My daughter has a very good experience with, and knowledge of Sooji Shim, Piano Teacher! Sooji has a huge amount of personal talent and a vast accumulation of music knowledge. I believe she directs, instructs, inspires, and motivates a student very well.

Mrs. Shim is a gifted musician, well-loved teacher, and an upstanding member of the community. Both my 7-year-old son and I are taking weekly back-to-back piano lessons. The patience and consistent enthusiasm Mrs. Shim demonstrates every week is commendable. Aside from her impressive credentials and formal training, she is kind, funny, and patient and able to keep my son and I interested in practicing and continuing lessons. Both of us have made measurable progress. As a professional, Mrs. Shim is always well prepared and accommodating. Recitals are so much fun and very well organized. Last but not least, Mrs. Shim is a brilliant pianist – her hands fly across the keys like magic. My son and I are so lucky to be her students!

Though I have only been a student of Mr. Simon Shim for a short while, I have been very impressed with the quality of the teaching and the amount of care he puts into preparing my lessons. Unlike many traditional students, I am a working professional who is already conversational in Korean. But since my firm handles a number of matters with sophisticated Korean businesses, I thought it was important to improve my language skills. Mr. Shim was more than open to creating individualized lessons that targeted the areas I needed the most help with, as well as including material he believed were important for the type of work that I’m doing. The lessons are engaging and Mr. Shim is always very quick to answer any questions I may have. I am confident that as I continue my sessions, I will get to my desired language level.
